Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited an Indian company with its principal offices at 8‑2‑337, Road No. 3, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad – 500034 (“Dr. Reddy’s” / “We” / “Us”), owns the SemaKare™ mobile application, which is made available on Android and iOS platforms (“Application”). This Application has been developed by us as part of our Patient Support Program (“Program”) to support and enhance your experience during your journey with our pharmaceutical products (“Product(s)”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, or enrolling in the Program, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Application and the Program.
This Program is delivered to you through i. Application; ii. Global Program website (branded/unbranded); iii. Program communications (e.g., in app notifications, SMS, email phone calls, and if you opt through WhatsApp messages); and iv. the support by non-clinical personnel engaged by us or by our authorized service providers. This Program will provide you with (i) non‑clinical personalized educational and informational content and materials, (ii) reminders regarding your medication schedules, and (iii) progress‑tracking features and virtual assistant support (iv) downloadable self-generated reports. The Program aims to improve treatment adherence by providing above-mentioned features, while strictly avoiding clinical diagnosis, treatment, or medical decision-making.
This Program supports multiple brands of the Dr. Reddy’s under the Program. To register under this Program and to ensure you receive the correct brand‑specific guidance and educational materials, you must confirm that the medication has been prescribed to you by your Healthcare Professional (HCP). You may be asked to verify your medication brand by: Uploading a clear photo of your medication packaging, or selecting the appropriate brand from a drop‑down list within the Application. By proceeding, you acknowledge and confirm that: Your medication has been prescribed exclusively by your HCP, and the Application does not influence any treatment decisions. You are solely responsible for providing accurate and truthful information about the brand you are using. We will not be liable for any issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information you provide. Brand verification is used only to deliver relevant, brand‑specific content for your reference. This feature is intended to enhance your experience and does not replace professional medical guidance.
This Program provides access to SIA, a virtual and personal AI health coach. SIA offers guidance and support based on the information you voluntarily enter into the Application. SIA offers (i) personalized guidance, (ii) address generic queries, (iii) to send reminders and alerts, (iv) log glucose weight & dosage. SIA may review: Your chatbot interaction inputs, including questions, prompts, and search queries; and Health information you have previously logged in the Application, such as dosage, logs, injection history, weight, and glucose levels, only when relevant to your specific request. Please note that SIA’s responses are designed to enhance your Application experience and provide general educational information. SIA is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We shall not be held responsible for any incorrect interpretation, analysis, or conclusions drawn from SIA’s outputs, results, or responses. This feature is provided solely to offer personalized educational content. You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide in SemaKare and to SIA is accurate, complete, and voluntarily submitted.
This Program is available only in India. Access to certain features may vary based on (i) geography, language, and local regulatory requirements; (ii) your device capabilities (such as notifications) and user permissions (such as enabling weekly reminders); and (iii) our sole discretion. We reserve the right to change, discontinue, or introduce new features at our discretion, with any obligation of providing a notice or communication to you. Only individuals who have been prescribed our Product(s) by their respective healthcare providers (HCPs) are eligible to enroll in the Program. This Program is intended solely for adults. Minors, as defined under applicable law, are not permitted to enrol or participate in the Program. We do not voluntarily collect any personal data of minors and do not allow the registration or on-boarding of minors under any circumstances. If you discover that your child has been using the Program without your consent, or that someone has been using the Program for or on behalf of your child without your consent, please contact us to the address mentioned above and we will take reasonable steps to delete the child’s information from our active databases.
To enrol, you must download the Application from App Store/Google Play Store, log in using your mobile number, and complete OTP-based verification. You may then create an account by providing basic personal (e.g., full name, age, gender, height, weight, email ID) and health (e.g., Shot administration logs (date, time, area of shot), Dosage amounts, Body weight updates, Glucose levels and related measurements, HbA1C reading, Medication and Device details (pen type, medication brand), Photograph of you pen (submitted to verify the genuineness of your device)) information. If you would like to know how we collect, store, and process your personal or health information, please review our Privacy Policy. Please note that your account is personal to you, and you cannot transfer it to anyone else. It is important that the information you provide during registration is accurate and that you keep it updated. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the information in your account is always correct and complete. This Program is currently provided to you free of charge, however charges for your mobile data communications and similar services may apply in accordance with the terms of your contract with your mobile phone operator.
We do not guarantee that the Program will work on every device or that it will function without interruption. Network issues, device limitations, and other factors outside our control may impact delivery of alerts or notifications. Although we take reasonable steps to provide an uninterrupted experience and necessary precautions, we cannot guarantee that notifications will always be delivered or received and that the files downloaded through the Program will be free from viruses, malware, or other harmful code, even though we take reasonable precautions to keep them secure.
We and our affiliates, subsidiaries, and service providers disclaims all express, implied, statutory, or other warranties including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, quality, performance, completeness, timeliness, or regulatory compliance, and makes no assurance about the availability or functionality of any software, content, reports, links, or communications provided through the Program. The Program may interoperate with or link to third‑party services such as WhatsApp (only if you voluntarily opt in), email/SMS gateways, or cloud platforms, and your use of those services is governed solely by their independent terms and privacy policies; We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for such services or any issues arising from their use. If you download the Application through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you understand that these Terms are solely between us, and that Apple and Google bear no responsibility for the Application or its content and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance, disclaim all warranties and liability to the maximum extent permitted by law, and are third‑party beneficiaries entitled to enforce relevant provisions of these Terms. If you access any third-party platform from our application, your personal data will be treated in accordance with the privacy notice of that platform. We will not be responsible for activities undertaken by platforms owned by third parties.
The Program, including all content, features, communications, reminders, navigators, and educational materials, is provided solely for informational and logistical support and does not constitute any (i) medical advice, (ii) diagnosis, treatment, (iii) direct or indirect promotion of any Product(s) or (iv)professional healthcare services. We do not validate, affirm, or provide medical advice, and is not responsible for any decisions you make to seek or not seek medical care, interpret health information, choose treatments, or rely on Program content for clinical decision‑making; all such reliance is strictly at your own risk. The Program is not a substitute for consultation with a physician or qualified healthcare provider, and in the event of any conflict between Program information and a healthcare professional’s instructions, the latter always prevails. The Program does not make therapeutic claims or guarantee clinical outcomes, and its educational content must not be used for self‑diagnosis or self‑treatment. The Program and the Application are not designed for real‑time monitoring, emergency communication, or urgent medical response, and communications may be subject to delays, delivery failures, or limited availability. If you believe you or someone else is experiencing a medical emergency or has alarming or rapidly worsening symptoms, you must immediately contact your local emergency number, seek urgent medical assistance, or visit the nearest emergency department without waiting for Program responses or navigator availability.
By enrolling in the Program, you consent to receive Program‑related communications through the channels you enable, including in‑app notifications, SMS, email, phone calls, and, if you expressly opt in, WhatsApp messages, which support adherence, reminders and education. Certain essential or service‑critical notices such as security alerts, material changes to these Terms, or significant service disruptions, may be sent regardless of your marketing preferences using the contact details you provide. WhatsApp communications require explicit opt‑in during onboarding or later in settings, and you may withdraw consent at any time through the Application’s communication settings or by replying “STOP” to a Program WhatsApp message. By using email or messaging features within the Platform, you agree that we are not responsible for the privacy or security of such transmissions and does not warrant their confidentiality. We may log or retain communication metadata and content as necessary to operate the Program and provide support, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
All materials, information made available through our Application, including text, images, videos, graphics, software, educational resources, assessments, trackers, articles, reminders, links, and other features (“Our Content”) are owned by us and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our Content is provided on an “AS IS” basis without any warranties, express or implied, and is intended solely for informational and educational purposes and it does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or professional guidance. Although reasonable care is taken to maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information, we do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or timeliness. Any communication made through the Application may not be confidential and is not protected by medical or patient‑provider privilege. You may access Our Content for personal, non‑commercial use only and may not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, create derivative works from, display, store, transmit, sell, or otherwise exploit any part of Our Content without our explicit written permission. Content belonging to third parties is likewise protected, and you agree not to infringe any third‑party intellectual property rights. You are solely responsible for any information or material you submit, upload, or transmit and must ensure that such content is lawful and does not infringe rights or contain harmful or inappropriate material. You agree not to use the Application, or Our Content for any unlawful, harmful, infringing, disruptive, or unauthorized purpose, including but not limited to uploading or transmitting defamatory, obscene, abusive, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable material; violating any applicable laws or encouraging unlawful activity; infringing intellectual property rights; attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems or networks; introducing viruses or harmful code; interfering with the security or integrity of the Platform; or disrupting other users’ access to the Application.
The data derived from your use of the Application may be stored, hosted, and processed on cloud or other infrastructure operated by us or our authorized service providers, which may include multiple geographic regions to support availability, resilience, and continuity. This hosting architecture may incorporate redundancy, backups, and disaster‑recovery measures, although uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed. Your data may be transferred to or processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence (only on need basis), and the Company implements appropriate legal, organizational, and technical safeguards, as required by applicable law, to protect such transfers. Certain service providers engaged for the Program may operate globally, and the Company endeavours to select providers with suitable security, reliability, and compliance capabilities. By participating in the Program, you acknowledge that such cross‑border transfers may occur and, where required under applicable law, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, We grant you a limited, revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, non‑assignable, and non‑sub licensable license to access and use the Application and Our Content solely for the purposes mentioned herein and for none other. You agree not to use, copy, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, reproduce, distribute, license, sell, transfer, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, broadcast, mirror, or otherwise exploit the Application or our Content except as expressly permitted under these Terms or as required under applicable law.
Except where such restrictions are prohibited by law or permitted by the licensing terms of open‑source components incorporated into the Application, you are not allowed to:
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or by us. You may terminate your participation at any time by closing your account through the Application or by contacting us; deleting the Application alone does not terminate this Agreement. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Application or Program if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, provided false or misleading information, created operational or security risks, or if the Program can no longer be provided in your region. Also, we may temporarily suspend access to perform maintenance, ensure security, or investigate suspected misuse. Upon termination or withdrawal, your right to use the Application and the Program ends immediately, and you must uninstall the Application and delete any copies in your possession or control. Previously delivered messages or shared content may not be retractable. We may retain, store, or disclose information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, satisfy regulatory requirements, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain records of interactions, or for other legitimate business purposes permitted under applicable law. Personal data will be handled in accordance with our privacy practices. Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, data handling, and any terms that by their nature are intended to survive termination will continue to apply.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we including our affiliates, subsidiaries, joint‑venture partners, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your access to or use of our Application, or Program, or your inability to use them, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the us and our related entities harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, or costs arising out of your use of the Application, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of any unlawful or infringing content. We reserve the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms at any time, and such changes become effective immediately upon posting on the Application; your continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We are not responsible for delays, failures, or interruptions due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, labour disputes, civil disturbances, pandemics, network or power outages, or failures of third party systems. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and you agree that any disputes arising from or relating to your use of the Site or Application shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Communications between you and the Company may be sent or received electronically as per the terms above. By submitting testimonials or feedback regarding the Application or Program, whether directly or through public platforms, you confirm that they reflect your genuine experience and grant us a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display such testimonials across websites, social media, marketing materials, and other promotional channels, subject to minor edits for clarity without altering meaning. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for the consequences of your testimonial appearing on public or third‑party platforms. You may withdraw consent for future use of your testimonial by notifying the Company, after which your testimonial will be removed from future use within a reasonable period.
The Program provides a “Get in Touch” feature that allows you to connect with our support team through a toll‑free number. When you call this number, you will first be required to provide consent through an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. You must listen to the IVR instructions clearly and provide the required consent before being connected to a live tele caller. Please note that you may not be able to connect with the tele caller if the IVR consent is not provided. Only after consent is successfully recorded you will be able to proceed with the call and access additional support and services, which may include: (i) Device demonstration requests; (ii) Home visit scheduling; (iii) Product‑related queries; (iv) Pharmacovigilance (PV) inquiries and reporting and (v) any other program‑related assistance. By using the toll‑free number, you acknowledge that IVR consent is mandatory for the provision of these services.
Your account may be deactivated under the following circumstances:
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any in‑App consents you provide, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Program and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings or communications. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign these Terms to an affiliate, successor, or acquirer as part of its business operations. Any failure or delay by us to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision, and any waiver must be in writing to be effective. Except where expressly stated, otherwise, there are no third‑party beneficiaries to these Terms. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, or fiduciary relationship between you and navigators; service providers and we act solely on the Company’s behalf to support delivery of the Program.
